Kim moved to Orton Brimbles when she was 13 and has lived there for most of her life, she attended Bushfield Community School back in the late 1980’s before going to Stanground Sixth Form.  She has worked for companies such as Royal Life, Thomas Cook and has now worked for Anglian Water as a full-time Technical Assistant for over 13 years, the experience gained in these roles has given her the confidence and the business acumen to carry out her role as a City Councillor.

Kim was first elected as a Conservative City Councillor in 2014 for one year, during which she Chaired the Council Audit Committee and was a member of their Health Scrutiny Committee as well.  This gave her  valuable insight into the budgeting and audit processes of Peterborough City Council as well as understand the collaboration of companies which make up the health system we have today.

“Kim stood again in the May 2016 elections and was elected for four years, knowing that she now has four years she really wants to understand the issues in her ward and make a real difference.  This year Kim is Chairing the Creating Opportunities and Tackling Inequalities Scrutiny Committee looking at education within Peterborough, as well as Deputy Chairman for the Audit Committee and again a member of the Health Scrutiny Committee.

While Kim has the above responsibilities she will always stress that her priority are the people in Orton Waterville, she believes that ‘Communication’ and ‘Collaboration’ are key to keeping the Orton’s a special place to live and working with all departments of the Council, Orton Waterville Parish Council, Peterborough Showground, Nene Park (Ferry Meadows) and all the businesses will make for a much better place to live.
